Sorrento
Sorrento is a beautiful city in Campania, southern Italy straddling cliffs that overlook the bay of Naples. The Roman name for Sorrento was Surrentum. The Greeks founded the city in the 6th century BC, and in the 4th century BC it was conquered by the Samnites, and later became part of the Roman Empire. It has a beautiful old town, a harbour with ferry departures to Capri, Amalfi and Naples, and is within easy reach of the Amalfi Coast, Pompeii, Herculaneum and the city of Naples. There is scenic walking in the peninsula and plenty of restaurants and bars to relax in.
Temperatures in May range between the average high - 22.6°c average low - 12.1°c.
Naples and Rome airports are both within easy reach of Sorrento and are serviced by all corners of the world.
Naples - Sorrento = 50KM

Taxis, trains and buses are available regularly from both airports.
